A lovely vibrant, fruity cup, with bright acidity and a balanced and lingering sweetness that reminds us of clementine and apricot.
We get plenty of cherry and deep red fruits on the aroma, and hints of cocoa on the finish.

The Producer
AgnesMukamushinja and her husband Felix Hitayezu set up Nova Coffee 5 years ago, with a vision to drive positive socioeconomic change through better quality coffee. The Nova Official mission statement reads: "Being a women-centered washing station, Nova Coffee is committed to developing the neighbouring community into specialized coffee farmers that produce the highest quality coffee as well as to enhancing the social cohesion in order to create more jobs and eradicate poverty". Agnes, Felix and the whole Nova Coffee team have made some fantastic strides in a short amount of time. In 5 short years they have invested heavily in fixing up what Agnes describes as a previously "decrepit old washing station". But much more than that, Agnes and her team at Nova Coffee have heavily prioritized training and education, helping farmers in the surrounding coops and villages to elevate quality. Three local cooperatives now bring their cherry to Nova Washing Station to be processed. This special natural processed lot was grown by farmers who live just adjacent to the washing station in the Bukure sector. Some of these farmers are members of the Dukorere Kawa Cooperative but chose to have these cherries be sold to Nova outside of the cooperative. This was an experimental lot in its first year and they nailed it.

Pourover (Kalita Wave)
Coffee: 25g
Grind Size: We're fairly fine for this one. We're at 38 on our DF64, which is firmly into V60 grind range usually.
Pours:
1. Bloom 50g
2. at 30s, pour 100g to 150g total.
3. at 45s, pour to 220g total.
4. at 1:15, pour to 280g total.
5. at 1:40, pour to 340g total.
6. at 2:00, pour to 390g total
Total water: 390g
Total Brew Time: ~ 3:15
